Ah the woods… the dark, damp, mossy redwoods. As beautiful as the coast can be, there is something mighty special about the woods. In Northern Cali, we’re INCREDIBLY fortunate to have access to both; such easy access in fact that we were able to fulfill Giselle + Adam’s wishes of having that dark, woodsy setting AND coastal action for their engagement session, all in the same late afternoon. Long live California. We adore these two so hard, can’t wait for their wedding this summer.
We absolutely fell head over heels in friend love with this couple. They married last August, in perfect Northern California weather, at Bargetto Winery in the Soquel Mountains. Everything about their celebration was wonderful. Oh and they had a bus, with beer, that carted them around all day called Brew Cruz … and Steff sang/danced her heart out to Beyonce surrounded by a circle of their wedding guests (while Ben proudly looked on) … nuff said, right?? Here are some of our favs!
We absolutely love capturing people in their element. When Paige came to us with the idea of starting their engagement session as her and her love would start any other morning- with coffee cozied up in bed -we of course said, abso-freakin-lutely. Chris + Paige are the incredibly talented duo behind Alibi Interiors, so naturally, their home is a reflection of their inherent creativity and appreciation for beautiful, well crafted things. Needless to say, we loved spending some time with these two in their lovely abode. Oh ya, and we also ventured out to Nisene Marks for some super dark, almost-need-a-flash, ferngully action. Can’t wait for these lovers to tie the knot in t-minus-2-months…here are a few of our favs!
Hey you! Goodness gracious we gotta lotta work to share, including some sweet lil engagement sessions of our awesome couples who are getting married this year! WOOHOO! Brittney + Brian wanted a classic SF setting and some Marin Headlands magic for their e-session and we were more than happy to oblige. We really wanna post all of the photos from this rad session, but will use restraint and only share some, as one of our blogging-New-Years-resolutions is to scale it back a bit, not overload your eyeballs with too many photos (yes we believe this is possible) … we hope you enjoy them too
OKAY! We’re about to start chipping away at our wedding archive in a major way, which means TONS of new working comin to the blog… the first of which is this awesome celebration we shot last summer in the Soquel Mountains! Nicole + Valter are an amazing duo, incredibly kind, fun, full of energy, and ridiculously good looking (just look, you’ll see). They’re also the proud parents of twin girls, which being parents ourselves (to ONE unruly toddler) is something we have MAD respect for. The way they handled the inherent chaos of a wedding with two babes – with so much grace, patience, positivity, and humor – was incredibly inspiring. We loved being around this rad little family and loved capturing their celebration! Here are some of our favs from their day…
And for those inquiring minds, the GORGEOUS blooms were provided by Seascape Flowers! And a big ol thanks to Steph Crocker for tagging along with us to this one- her visual perspective is always appreciated and we can’t wait to see where her emerging business takes her
Time sure flies when you’re having fun!! 2014 was an insanely awesome year for this little business of ours. We were crazed, right on the edge of biting off more than we could chew at all times, but had loads of fun and every single client we worked with this past year was the amazing fast-friends type. We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who chose us to document their story and those who continue to believe in and support us. Seriously, THANK YOU. Compiling a single blog post to sum up our year with some favorite images was next to impossible…there are so many that got canned after we realized that we couldn’t post 400 of our favorites. No one has time for a blog-beast like that. So here are SOME, a narrowed down sample, of our personal favs from the year, including some boudoir and editorial work towards then end that we’re SUPER excited to explore more in 2015. Most of this work hasn’t been blogged yet, so stay tuned for a blogging avalanche that is sure to ensue, especially since our website finally got a much needed facelift! Thanks for reading, we hope you enjoy these images, and wishing you ALL a MOST prosperous, healthful, alive, love-filled year ahead!
