Funny story how we met this sweet sweet couple…Matt and I were strolling down the beach with our pups when I spotted a gorgeous dog up ahead that looked JUST like one of Skye’s puppy sisters. Being the shameless dog lover that I am, I excitedly approached the small group of people closest to the pretty girl and asked, “is this Juneau by chance?!” hoping and praying that they would say “YES!!” (Juneau, her SPCA given name (which is her name today!) And, yes, I am this crazy about dogs….especially ones related to my dogs) Sure enough, she WAS Skye’s sister and we spent the better part of the afternoon getting to know her owners, Toby + Breana, while our baby girls frolicked on the beach together. It was cosmic perfection. Flash forward several months, Breana contacts us to photograph their wedding…what a crazy awesome business this is! She also happens to be the owner/head chef of an amazing farm-to-table catering and personal chef venture, Root Foods, where they craft up delicious organic creations for weddings and beyond (check them out here!!) We hope you enjoy some of our favs from a little love session we did with these guys and can’t WAIT for their wedding in May!!

These two!! We were loving us some Rick + Natalie on this fun little engagement session we did up at Roaring Camp (thanks to the couple for the great location idea!) This one was pretty darn easy for us since Rick + Natalie just kept making each other laugh the entire shoot (oh sweet love). And to top it off, we headed on over to Rick’s firehouse and met up with their furry son, Titan. We can’t WAIT for this wedding next May and hope you enjoy some of our favorites!

Nick + Rori practically stole our hearts with this sweet sweet wedding. They told us about their wedding plans during our engagement session (check it out here!) and about how driving back and forth from the Gilroy ceremony to the Aptos reception might be a little crazy, but ended up being worth every mile driven to exchange their vows at Nick’s Grandma’s house- a place very special to the both of them. These two seemed to have heaps of fun together and the amount of love at this wedding was pouring over. We cherish the honor to capture these special celebrations in people’s lives and this one was no exception. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites!

We love it when a wedding is a serious party. And what a party this one was!! Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Keith + Shantee said “I do!” under the tall trees of Highlands Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains…then partied down to local band Wooster (ok, we kinda partied too 😉 ) This wedding was all kinds of fun and there was no shortage of love, support, and people to toast this awesome duo. A huuuuuge congrats to Keith + Shantee and we hope you all enjoy our lil perspective of this beautiful wedding.

Whew! This just may be our longest blog post yet…you’ve been warned :) We headed up north to Truckee for the unbelievably fun and beautiful wedding of Jason + Eileen, two of the sweetest darn people we have met. I quickly realized Eileen was a gal after my own heart as she was coordinating/giving orders/getting beautified/thumbing through her spreadsheets/sipping champagne all at once (and calmly, mind you) – gotta love my fellow Virgos. And what a stunnnnnning bride she was…still swooning over here. And Jason seemed to be her perfect match, super lighthearted, kind and hilarious, and totally in love with Eileen. We could go on and on, but instead, we think the photos speak for themselves! Please enjoy a ridiculous number of our favorites…

I can’t remember the last time I rode the Ferris Wheel…so when Rori suggested the Ferris Wheel as a potential location for her and Nick’s engagement shoot, we said heck yes. While it holds a special place in N+R’s relationship (we lovvvvvve these types of sentimental, romantic ideas, btw), it was also a radical lil photographic experience!! These guys are so sweet and they actually laughed at my jokes, which always feels great- thanks you two 😉 We’re super excited for their wedding and couldn’t be more happy for them. And now some of our favs!
